Out on the toon last night to have a little peek at some new photography work organised by the lovely Emily and Anna from Contact Collective. The slide show was in someones ace flat by the Old street bridge which made a pleasant change from the often austere white wall/strip lighting Gallery scenario.
The flat was packed. Flatpack!
We all crowded round the kitchen table to look at some prints for sale, wine and beer was served from the fridge next to the washing machine and everyone hung around to lol about on sofas to watch the work in comfort. A really relaxed affair, no blue steels which always helps, a really refreshing experience. House Galleries are the new House parties! If its good enough for Nan Goldin, its good enough for us. All round to ours then. x
